Emerging disease: Shrimp Hemocyte Iridescent Virus (SHIV). Virus causing serious mortalities in Pacific white shrimp in China

A newly discovered iridescent virus that causes severe disease and high mortality in farmed Pacific white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) in Zhejiang, China, has been verified and provisionally named as shrimp hemocyte iridescent virus (SHIV).
